How to Use the New Canva and Tailwind Integration to Schedule Pinterest Pins

If you’ve ever felt the juggle of designing content in Canva and then switching over to Tailwind to schedule it for Pinterest, you’ll be happy to hear there’s a new way to make the process much smoother.

Canva and Tailwind now integrate directly, which means you can design your pins and schedule them without having to download, upload, and shuffle files around.

I recorded a quick tutorial to show you how it works, but here’s a simple overview to get you started.

Step One: Create Your Design in Canva

Start by opening Canva and creating the pin you’d like to share. You can use one of your own templates or choose from Canva’s library. The key is to keep your branding and style consistent, so when people see your pin, they instantly know it’s yours. I have a template to turn one design into 10 pins in my Pinterest for Surface Designers Workshop!

Step Two: Use the Tailwind Integration

Once your design is ready, click on “Share” and look for the Tailwind option in Canva’s integration menu. From here, you can connect directly to your Tailwind account. This step saves so much time because you no longer have to download the file and re-upload it later.

Step Three: Schedule Your Pin in Tailwind

Tailwind will open up right inside Canva. You will be able to choose the board you want to pin to, add your description, and set the time for posting. Tailwind’s smart schedule will even suggest the best times for your audience.

Keep Your Workflow Smooth

The beauty of this integration is that it keeps you focused. You can move from design to scheduling in just a few clicks without losing your momentum or cluttering up your downloads folder.

I have walked through the whole process step by step in the video below so you can see exactly how it works.

Take It Further

This integration is a great time saver, but it is just one piece of the Pinterest puzzle. If you want to dive deeper into creating a strategy that actually gets your work seen, I cover the full step by step in my Pinterest for Surface Designers workshop. Inside, I share how to set up your boards, write pin descriptions that get clicks, and use Tailwind to build a consistent posting schedule.

If you are ready to stop guessing and start using Pinterest as a tool to attract brands and licensing opportunities, you can sign up for the workshop here.
