Mockups in photoshop for surface pattern designers
Today I'll show you how to use mockups, you wont believe what I did when I first used them. I would bring the pattern tile in and click it together to form a pattern and if I wanted a different scale I had to make them all smaller and add more - whoops!
Luckily it's very easy once you know how. I'll go over 3 different brands mockups so that you can see how they are set up and confidently use them.
Turn your artwork into polished product previews that help you get noticed and make sales
If you’ve created a pattern or illustration you’re proud of, don’t let it live unseen on your hard drive! One of the easiest and most effective ways to attract buyers, clients, and licensing opportunities is to show your designs on real products—and that’s where mockups come in.
In this post, I’ll walk you through why mockups matter for surface pattern designers, and how you can use them to elevate your portfolio, pitch to companies, or sell on platforms like Spoonflower.
